Peat-Free Orchid Compost Brick (9L)

This peat-free orchid compost brick is specially formulated to support the health and growth of all orchid plants.

Containing a perfectly blended mix of organic coir husk chips and coconut fibres with added nutrients including potassium, this mix is ideal for repotting orchids, ensuring free drainage and optimal conditions for healthy root and leaf growth as well as beautiful blooms.

Unlike regular orchid compost containing wood chips, no trees were felled for this compost, making it a more sustainable option as a byproduct of the coir industry.

Comes as a small brick which expands to 9L of compost when hydrated. Lightweight, compact and easy to store. No lifting heavy bags of compost again! Doesn't degrade until water is added.

Sciarid flies cannot survive the processing of coir compost bricks therefore these pests will not be introduced to your home by this compost. They are also naturally repelled by the oil in coco fibres.

How to use:

• Place your coir brick in a trug.
• Add 3L of water.
• Let it sit for approximately 5 minutes until the water is absorbed.
• Fluff up your compost with a hand trowel/fork or with your hands until all the clumps are broken up.
