Peat-Free Organic Coir Mulch Brick (60L)

This peat-free, organic, coir mulch brick is made with coir husk chips. Fantastic for retaining soil moisture while reducing weed growth by up to 90%. It also helps deter pesky slugs and snails due to its rough, dry texture.

Comes as a large brick which expands to 60L of mulch when hydrated. Lightweight, compact and easy to store. No lifting heavy bags of compost again! Doesn't degrade until water is added.

Coir husk chip mulch is ideal as a mulch as it slowly breaks down over time, helping to increase soil porosity, nutrients and improve soil structure. It reduces evaporation and water loss from the soil and helps protect the roots of plants during frosts. Its neutral pH is beneficial for most plants.

Ideal for spreading around the base of all plants, including fruit, vegetables, and perennial planting. Makes an excellent decorative finish in beds, borders, pots and containers. Can also be used to create natural woodland-looking pathways.

How to use:

• Place your coir brick into a wheelbarrow or other large container.
• Add 18-20L of water, preferably warm.
• Let it sit until the water has absorbed. Approximately 20 minutes will do – perfect for a cup of tea.
• Fluff up your compost with a hand trowel or with your hands until all clumps are broken up.
