Solitary Bee Hive with Brush

The Solitary Bee Hive provides an ideal place for solitary bees with perfectly designed hole sizes for non-swarming bees like the Red Mason Bee, Leafcutter Bee and other solitary bees.

It features stacking trays which can be opened for inspection and cleaning. Made with durable, sustainably sourced wood, supporting responsible forestry management and biodiversity protection.

Solitary bees are beneficial insects, helping to pollinate the flowers of many plants including our fruit and vegetables. With a decline in natural habitats our gardens are more important than ever for insects.

How to use:

Site in a sunny, south to southeast facing position to catch the morning sun. Mount the Bee Hive somewhere between ground level and 1.5 m in height. No chemical treatments are needed on the beehive. Stacking trays may be inspected after bee activity has ceased in autumn/winter. If necessary, you can cover the bee tubes with mesh if you have an issue with birds, like woodpeckers, predating the bees.
